The Nebraska Arts Council makes its biggest impact through the distribution of grants for arts projects and programming throughout the state. From small town festivals to professional productions at the Orpheum Theater, from an arts classroom in the Sandhills to an internationally-recognized artist residency in Omaha, it’s more than likely that grant money from the Nebraska Arts Council helped make it happen.

Grant applications are highly competitive, and our staff closely examines each application before passing along to panelists for review. Grant panels are open to the public and applicants are encouraged to attend.
Note to applicants: There is no need to RSVP if you plan to attend. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the panel start time (see below). Applications with a representative in attendance will be reviewed first. Keep in mind that applicants are in attendance to observe only; discussion with panelists is not allowed. You will be notified via email of your grant status following the Nebraska Arts Council board meeting on Tuesday, June 6.
