Launa oversees all the 1% for Art projects in Nebraska, Individual Artist Fellowships, Fred Simon Gallery and Governor Residence Exhibitions.
Launa is an artist and educator that has exhibited internationally and received grants, fellowships and residencies from around the world. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and her BA from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. She has been the founder and director of Darger HQ, Craftswoman House, London International Creative Competition (LICC) and has worked as a curator and designer.
Raised in the small towns of Weeping Water and North Bend, Nebraska, (she had an art studio in the barn) Launa has returned to Nebraska and is excited to be a part of NAC’s mission of promoting, cultivating and sustaining the arts for the people of Nebraska.
