Liz Lassiter supports the Mini, Annual Series and Events, Nebraska Touring, and Basic Support grant programs. She comes to the Nebraska Arts Council with years of experience ranging from youth program development and evaluation to Arts nonprofit management. Liz is eager to support the success of artists, arts organizations, and creative communities around Nebraska. She previously served as the Grants and Special Projects Manager at the Minnesota Opera where she spearheaded the implementation of a community engagement methodology. She also worked as a Community Recreation Specialist with the City of St. Paul (MN) Department of Parks and Recreation and has served as Interim Executive Director for Arts-Us (St. Paul, MN). She is also a songwriter, vocalist, and writer and has performed extensively around the Twin Cities.
She received her BS in Sociology from Creighton University and MA in Arts and Cultural Management from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She resides in Omaha with her very handsome standard poodle, Pluto.
