Pam Price recently retired as the Executive Director of the Stuhr Museum Foundation in Grand Island. She continues to volunteer for the Stuhr Museum and Foundation as they work to complete their $7,400,000 renovation of the museum’s Edward Durell Stone designed main exhibit building which will be re-dedicated July 2015.
Price holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, with emphasis in history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a MS Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She previously taught secondary history and English in Lincoln and Omaha, NE, and in Chillicothe, Missouri. She also taught college classes, prior to becoming the Admissions Director, at Central Community College-Grand Island Campus.
Ms. Price is actively involved in serving Nebraska and her community. Her service includes: current Nebraska Arts Council Board member; former member of the Nebraska Public Television and Radio Foundation Board; Trustee of the Nebraska State Historical Society; Equitable Bank Board of Directors; Equitable Charitable Foundation Board; Trustee of the Grand Island Education Foundation; and member of the Grand Island Public Schools Superintendent’s “Key Communicator” Advisory Group. Her past service includes the YWCA Board, College Park Board and Sunrise Rotary. Ms. Price received the honor of The Grand Island Independent’s “Woman of the Year” award in 2002 and The YWCA’s “Woman of Distinction” award in 2013.
