Sue M. Roush is the marketing and communications specialist for Concordia University, Nebraska as well as adjunct instructor in the master's of business administration program.
Prior to her work with Concordia, she served as director of marketing and communications for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications where she still acts as adjunct instructor.
Additionally, she served as deputy communications director for Governor Dave Heineman of Nebraska. She has a master's degree in journalism with an emphasis in marketing, communication and advertising from UNL. Sue is married to Dr. Clark Roush, professor of music at York College. They have been volunteers for many arts and civic organizations in their community.
Before working in state government, Sue was Director of Communication and Alumni Relations at York College where she managed a portion of the college development process focused on events, communication and solicitation of alumni. She managed mass communication flow with alumni and friends, coordinated community relations activities, and worked with constituents and media on messaging and strategic communication.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from York College and a master’s degree in marketing, communication and advertising from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Sue has been a volunteer for organizations such as York Area Chamber of Commerce, United Way, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Yorkshire Playhouse and various animal rescue organizations. She is passionate about the arts and has written grants to bring various arts events to the community of York. Sue is a classically trained soprano and has an extensive performance background in both art music and musical theater.
