Jordan’s residencies include workshops that cover relief printmaking, bookmaking, and alternative printmaking and paper-art techniques. Her presentations cover the history of printmaking, different printmaking techniques and the world of printmaking today. Jordan uses her own work and the work of her colleagues as examples. All residencies will be tailored to the ages and size of the groups of participants.
Following a 2015 interview, Amy Jarding of Jam Art Supplies said, “This printmaker captures motions from her everyday life, her surroundings, and presents them in an active and engaging way. Her work stretches beyond the frame, and guides its audience to do the same, to take notice of the intricacy of life directly in front of you.” Jordan has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. She is also a South Dakota Arts Council Roster Artist and looks forward to traveling in Nebraska and leading residencies throughout our state.
