The Nebraska Arts Council will host a series of free workshops this month for individuals interested in learning about the agency and/or improving their grant writing skills. Hosted in Lincoln and Omaha and online, these workshops cover two areas of interest.
Program Overview Workshops – These workshops are designed for individuals who are unfamiliar with NAC and want to know more about opportunities the agency offers. Attendees will learn about the agency’s mission and structure, as well as grant categories and deadlines. Nonprofit or arts organization representatives, educators, community members and artists are encouraged to attend.
Grant Review Workshops – These workshops are designed for current NAC grant applicants or individuals preparing to write an NAC application for the first time. Attendees will review a sample application and discuss key elements such as budget itemization, outreach to diverse populations and writing clear, concise narratives. Nonprofit or arts organization representatives and educators are encouraged to attend.
