Building Creative Communities
Providing resources and inspiration for Nebraska towns and cities to develop their own creative communities.

WHY: The goal of the conference is to help communities identify and leverage cultural and creative assets for community revitalization and change. We know art can transform lives, and we believe artists, arts administrators and cultural institutions have the power to activate more livable communities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Artists, creative professionals, arts administrators and cultural institutions -- anyone interested in building a more creative and vibrant community using the arts!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Guest speaker and workshop leader Tom Borrup has been a leader and innovator in community building for 30 years. Tom will work with participants to assess their communities, set a place-based vision, formulate a plan, and put strategic actions into motion.
- Case studies of successful creative communities throughout Nebraska.
- Networking with leaders and arts advocates from the public and private sectors.
- Hands-on activities to help you envision how to build your own creative community.
