An organization must project enough cash income to match the full amount of your NAC grant request. Here are some guidelines:
- Sources of matching cash funds can be from a variety of sources including anticipated ticket sales, admission or workshops fees, donations from individuals or corporations, or grants from foundations or government agencies.
- Funds from within your organization’s budget, referred to as applicant cash, can also be used as matching cash funds.
- In-kind (sometimes referred to as “soft” money) or donated goods and services do not qualify as cash match.
- Funds from another NAC grant (such as Basic Support Grant funds) or from Mid-America Arts Alliance grants do not qualify.
