Melissa Marvin joined Bank of Bennington as Chief Service Officer in 2017. The Omaha native oversees all strategic, sales, and marketing initiatives for the bank. Concurrently, she supports Metropolitan Community College’s with community engagement projects.
Marvin served in international sales management training and consulting before spending a year as Senior Vice President, Donor Engagement at the United Way of the Midlands. She has also served in executive positions at national banking organizations, with more than 34 years of experience in management, executive leadership, sales, and marketing.
Marvin was a graduate of Leadership Omaha in 1997, was recognized with a YWCA (WCA) Women of Distinction Award in 2010 and recognized as the 2017 Woman of the Year for the Arthritis Foundation for her philanthropic and community service.
Over her lifetime, she has also built a long resume of leadership service with more than 30 nonprofit and educational organizations across a wide variety of human service and arts organizations in the metro area and across Nebraska. Among these roles, she has held board positions at Joslyn Art Museum and Nebraska Shakespeare. Currently, she serves on the Nebraska Arts Council Board. She holds board positions at the Buffett Cancer Center Healing Arts Program, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and Vesper Concerts.
