With a varied set of music by iconic songwriters, she creates programs that are inviting and cohesive, offering fresh takes on the familiar and bringing the rarely performed forward. She weaves songs and sets together with stories and conversation. A performance that draws the audience in from the first note.
In addition, Mary offers specialty programs featuring classical music. Please inquire about specific programs available.
Of her debut album, Let’s Fly, released in 2014, critics have said, “Mary Carrick’s voice is reminiscent of great torch singers from the past... elegant and molten,” (Piers Ford, THE ART OF THE TORCH SINGER) and “Ms. Carrick, with both cabaret and theater in her background, has the power to hit the balcony, but I think it’s the more introspective tracks that really shows her fine interpretive skill,” (Doug Boynton, GIRL SINGERS).
Mary has toured the Midwest, performed with Opera Omaha, the Omaha Symphony and Rose Theater, at Holland Performing Arts Center and Orpheum Theater, and for many other organizations and events, both in indoor and outdoor settings. She’s the recipient of an Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award, as well as several Theater Arts Guild Awards.
