Julie Fitzgerald Ryan
Julie offers theatre activities to participants and has extensive experience working the students who have special needs as well as young adults in transition programs. Julie holds a Masters Degree in theatre, has taught at the college level, and has worked with WhyArts, Circle Theatre, Gotta Be Me, OPS, Ollie Webb, and Dancing Classrooms in Arts Education.
Through these diverse collaborations, she has developed a teaching philosophy that views performance as a powerful tool for building personal confidence, life skills, and social connection. Julie structures her theatre spaces to be highly accessible and interactive, ensuring that every participant can engage at their own comfort level. Her workshops prioritize creative play and collaborative storytelling to build a strong sense of community. Ultimately, she strives to empower nonstandard learners by giving them the physical and vocal tools to express their authentic selves.
