Program supports NAC Roster Artist residencies that include at least 20 contact hours with participants. During residencies, artists share their expertise and work with teachers or staff to help students achieve educational goals in the arts and other academic disciplines.
The Artists in Schools/Communities has two types of grants depending on the residency budget:
1). Floating Deadline for requests under $2,500 per artist (Temporarily Suspended)
2). Set Deadline for requests over $2,500 per artist (Temporarily Suspended)
Eligibility: Any Nebraska public or private school or nonprofit community organization is eligible to apply. College and university-based projects may be funded only when participation by the public is sought in significant numbers.
Artists in Schools and Communities program grants are now open for the 2019-2020 school year.
Applications must be submitted at least six weeks prior to the residency start date
