Virtual Arts Project Grants

The purpose of Virtual Arts Project grants is to provide access to funds that support a variety of arts projects that are conducted online, without direct contact between participants, and to encourage ongoing arts programs for Nebraskans despite constraints due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There are two sub-categories of Virtual Arts Project Grants:

  1. Virtual Arts Projects for the General Public (VPG) such as online exhibitions, performances, poetry readings, or development of new artworks.
  2. Virtual Arts Projects for Schools (VPS) such as online workshops, classes, performances, or guided art tours.

Eligibility (updated December 2020): Nonprofit organizations incorporated in Nebraska that are federally tax-exempt, public agencies and sub-divisions of governmental agencies. Organizations may submit up to one Virtual Arts Project Grant application only if they did not submit a proposal in the August 17 deadline Competitive Recovery Grant category.

  • NAC Basic Support Grantees are eligible only for the Virtual Arts Projects for Schools (VPS) category

Grant Amounts: $1,000 - 3,000. A detailed budget proposal is required. Virtual Project grants do not require a cash match.

Deadlines: Applications have a floating deadline, and are due at least six weeks prior to the project start date. Projects must be completed within the current NAC fiscal year, or by June 30, 2021.
