NET’s Friday LIVE delivers a statewide audience the talents of homegrown Nebraska artists, as well as showcasing talent from around the country and across the globe. The weekly radio broadcast on NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, showcases a diverse lineup of musicians, poets, authors, painters, sculptors, comedians, historians and others who contribute to the state’s vibrant arts and humanities scenes.
On the air, host Genevieve Randall celebrates Nebraska talent through unique interviews and live performances. Behind-the-scenes, the Friday LIVE production crew has an uncanny ability to identify local artists who can practice and perform their crafts at the same caliber as national performers.
For three decades, the Mill Coffee and Tea in Lincoln’s historic Haymarket District has hosted the Friday morning live broadcast. Beginning at 9:02 a.m. Central Time, devoted listeners can enjoy the show and a cup of coffee in the venue, at the office, at home or anywhere along the 560-mile stretch between Harrison in the Panhandle and Falls City, Nebraska.
NET also takes Friday LIVE on the road to spotlight the incredible talent residing in all corners of the state. In recent months, enthusiastic audiences experienced the show in Alliance, Lewellen, McCook, Norfolk, West Point and at other artistic hotbeds in Nebraska.
Friday LIVE isn’t just on the radio. Fans listen online and on the NET Nebraska app, plus tune in for video webcasts. Audiences can also connect with the show on social media and by subscribing to the Friday
LIVE and Friday LIVE Extra podcasts, while a community calendar features more performances and events by the endless talent in Nebraska.
