Join us in Omaha for the Nebraska Statewide Arts Conference

The Nebraska Arts Council is sponsoring the two-day State Arts Conference, Friday, May 31- Saturday, June 1, for arts professionals including artists, volunteers and administrators. The conference is designed to provide inspiration, networking opportunities, hands-on workshops, artist showcases and excursions to the new Healing Arts Program at the UNMC, the South Omaha public mural corridor and El Museo Latino, and a behind the scenes tour of the Rose and BLUEBARN Theaters.

    Tour of UNMC Healing Arts Collection including the Dale Chihuly Sanctuary

    Visit the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and explore the use of therapeutic art and music programs. View the expansive collection of art, including permanent and temporary exhibitions by nationally recognized artists, and the Leslie’s Healing Garden.

  • Travel Stipends

    Participants who must travel more than 100 miles from Omaha are eligible for travel reimbursement.   For a vehicle traveling 100 to 200 miles from Omaha, the reimbursement is $50.  For a vehicle traveling over 200 miles from Omaha, the reimbursement will be $100. Individuals who are carpooling will receive a single reimbursement per vehicle. 
    To apply for reimbursement, a form will be available at the conference registration table.   Complete the form and submit it to a Nebraska Arts Council staff member.  Your reimbursement check will be mailed to you.
