NAC's Virtual Statewide Arts Conference | August 16-20, 2021

Beginning August 16, join creative industry and economic development professionals from across the state to cultivate knowledge, build relationships, and welcome the start of Nebraska’s Creative Districts program.

This exciting new program is committed to utilizing the arts as an economic driver, supporting communities in Nebraska in telling their stories, and elevating the value of the arts.

Participate virtually and free-of-cost in Nebraska’s only statewide arts conference and hear local, regional, and national leaders share their insights on Creative Districts, Inclusive Community Planning, Cross-sector Partnerships, and more.

    Strong partnerships include artists, nonprofits, for profits and government entities. How do we build effective partnerships that respect and engage the whole community?

  • Inclusive Programming in Your Community

    Presented by Margie Reese, she will talk about how to offer a diverse cultural experiences in your community .

  • Inclusive Programming in Your Community – Case Studies from the Field

    See how organizations are working to bring their communities together with these examples from the region.

  • Asset Mapping: Journey to Discovering Your Community's Story

    What makes your community great? Asset mapping is a way of learning what your community already has, and uncovering hidden gems and building upon them. This exercise is a required part of the Creative Districts Program.

  • Abundancy vs. Scarcity Mindset

    Every community has more potential resources than any one person knows. By identifying, activating, and connecting local resources we can co-create an even brighter future for Nebraska. People belong through having their gifts and talents received and appreciated.

  • Artists Guide to the Community Public Art Puzzle

    Springboard for the Arts just released a workbook for artists who make a practice of working with a community to realize public art that utilizes both the artists talents and community needs. Learn about best tactics for artists, examples and receive the workbook for your practice.
