Debbie Armentrout

Business Manager

In her role as the Business Manager for the Nebraska Arts Council, Debbie serves as the administrative support for the agency and staff, including accounting, budget monitoring, procurement, database and payroll processing.   Debbie also coordinates logistics for council and board meetings and assists staff members with travel arrangements.

She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit arena.   While Debbie does not have a professional background in the Arts, she has nurtured the many artistic endeavors of her four adult children.  She enjoys, and is energized by, the creative process and appreciates those with artistic skills.  In the past, Debbie was involved in the building process of her church and a multipurpose preschool/community center.  As part of her past work, she was responsible for coordinating with contractors and acquiring statues, artwork, furnishing, and office equipment.

Debbie and her husband, Woody, have been residents of Omaha for over 40 years. They are both very active in their faith community and, as empty nesters, they enjoy hobbies like going to art/craft fairs, historical sites, barbequing with family, traveling, and having the freedom to do whatever they fancy at a drop of a hat.
