Margaret Garro

Director of Administration

As Director of Administration for the Nebraska Arts Council (NAC), Margaret oversees agency operations and financial management, including contract execution, payment processing, budgeting, financial reporting, and improvement of the Council’s online grants management system. She also leads efforts to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and strengthen internal systems.

A lifelong Nebraskan, Margaret holds a degree in Art History from Creighton University and brings extensive experience in administration, finance, and nonprofit operations. She supports the Executive Director in advancing agency priorities, developing policy initiatives, and building partnerships with arts organizations and community stakeholders across the state.

Outside of work, Margaret enjoys reading and spending time in Omaha’s historic Old Market district, where she appreciates the area’s architecture, culture, and creative energy.
