Everyone knows The Nutcracker as the ballet that has become a holiday tradition and favorite of audiences for generations. American Midwest Ballet’s fresh, lively and thoroughly entertaining production is sure to become a favorite in your community, transporting your audience into the enchanting world of a child’s beautiful dreams.

Make your Nutcracker production an unforgettable participant experience by putting young dancers from your community onstage, side by side with American Midwest Ballet’s professional dancers! Optional additional services including school performances, classroom workshops and master classes are available to build community-wide support.
Technical requirements: American Midwest Ballet is adaptable and will work creatively with presenters to find appropriate ways to bring the company repertory to their audiences. Specifications below are for an ideal space; programs can be adapted for other spaces.
Proscenium stage with fly space preferred. Guide specifications:
Stage size of approx. 40′ wide x 36′ deep
Main and mid-stage curtain
Able to accommodate drops approx. 22′ x 50′
Professional lighting equipment. Guide specifications:
Front of house (2-color wash system)
Electrics (4 pipes)
Floor booms (6-8 booms)
Cyclorama lights
Spotlights
Professional sound equipment. Guide specifications:
Front-of-house sound system
Onstage monitors
Headphone communication system for stage manager and light, sound and fly rail operators
Maximum negotiable fee: $33,000 (Note: maximum NAC request per contract is $2,000)
Availability: Availability is based on American Midwest Ballet’s season schedule. Nutcracker performances generally take place in November/December. Organizers are happy to work with presenters to find an agreeable performance date, including coordination of school performances and workshop activities that coincide with the tour.
