Thirty-five years after their first production, Omaha’s Cabaret Theatre continues to travel throughout the Midwest and beyond, sharing their love of storytelling with stunning vocal jazz harmonies and sublime solo voices. The group has garnered an impressive array of individual and ensemble awards for their artistry at area theaters and local events. Nominated as Best Cabaret, they have been recognized for their sophisticated arrangements of soulful ballads and uptempo dazzlers. Whether it’s the Great American Songbook, Broadway gems, or contemporary pop and cabaret, Cabaret Theatre’s versatility is matched only by their unique ability to connect with their audience.
Their understanding of the magic of music is evidenced by performances throughout Nebraska and the region, nationally and internationally. Their amazing blend and sensitivity to detail shines in every genre, whether it’s Cole Porter or Burt Bachrach, Gershwin or Billy Joel, Michael Bublé or Manhattan Transfer. Shows include Songbirds, celebrating female stars of the 60s and 70s, and I’m Beginning to See the Light, featuring over 50 years of memorable gems. Music of the Andrews Sisters and a holiday show are also available, and we’re always adding to our repertoire!
