Peggy Reinecke
Trained as a traditional artist in both painting and drawing, Peggy Reinecke constantly seeks new ways to integrate digital imagery with her products of paint and paper. She works extensively with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator as well as Corel Painter. Reinecke uses Dragon Stop Motion and Adobe AfterEffects with her animation projects, but utilizes QuickTime Pro and Apple’s iMovie when that is better suited to a particular project. Teaching courses at Metropolitan Community College in the Design, Interactivity & Media (DIMA) department and working with two artist friends as part of the animation group The AniMutts helps Reinecke keep her skills current. An AiS/C roster artist for many years, she would love to work with the art teacher or another faculty member to design projects using existing artwork, or to meet specific curriculum goals. Reinecke has successfully explored the aspects of visual communication and digital storytelling with many age groups, including elementary, middle and high school students.
