Event Description:
The Mansion at Blackstone, located at 144 S. 39th Street in the heart of Omaha’s Blackstone District, will host its first ever Holiday Market Dec. 10-11 from noon to 6pm. The event is free and open to the public. Shop from a variety of local artists and makers, sample some holiday cheer and explore the beauty of this neighborhood gem.
The Mansion was built in 1912 for William A. and Persis Smith. (William was a rising star in the Omaha & Council Bluffs Street Railway Company.) It stayed in the Smith family until the 1970s, when it became the home of Katelman Antiques. Today, the home – a GreenSlate Management property – serves as collaborative office/creative space.

Link Gallery and Workshop, located on the lower level of The Mansion at Blackstone, will be shooting tintype portraits using the historic wet collodion process Dec. 11 from noon to 5pm.
