Event Description:
“What does the American Dream mean to you?” That’s the powerful question at the heart of this collaborative exhibit coming to Stuhr Museum in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Through personal stories and creative expression, individuals, teams, and groups from communities all along Nebraska’s Platte River Valley will explore how their hopes, values, and lived experiences shape—and are shaped by—their vision of the American Dream. In doing so, they reflect not only how this dream influences their lives, but also how it helps shape who they are and the communities they build and belong to.
From reflections on heritage and history to dreams for the future, this exhibit highlights the rich diversity of voices and perspectives that make up the fabric of our nation. Together, these stories paint a dynamic portrait of what the American Dream looks like across generations and communities—right here in the heart of Nebraska.
