Event Description:
The Old Avoca Schoolhouse in Avoca, Nebraska will be streaming an on line Ornamentation Workshop, for musicians who want to embellish their tunes. The workshops will be on Tuesday, December 14, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (CT), and Wednesday, December 15, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (CT).
The ornaments discussed will include trills, mordents, turns, etc. Before the Workshop, students will receive an email with a PDF that includes some of the musical examples that will be explored. During the Workshop, many different ornaments will be discussed, and demonstrated. By the end of the session, each musician will have a better idea of what to do, and how to do it. The cost for each workshop is $10.00.
