The Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and Nebraskans for the Arts invite you to submit a session proposal for the 2024 State Arts Conference in Beatrice, Nebraska. The conference will take place on September 5th-6th, 2024.

We are excited to invite YOU, our local experts, to propose breakout sessions that will energize our attendees and leave them with actionable takeaways. Breakout sessions are 45 minutes long and can cover a range of topics. Submissions can include any topic for professional development for artists, arts administrators, and arts aficionados.

Session Length: All concurrent sessions are 45 minutes. This includes time for Q&A, if applicable.

Submission Deadline:  May 1. We will notify you regarding the status of your proposed topic by the end of June 15th.

Conference Description and Participants: The Nebraska Arts Council works with communities across the state. You should expect 200+ nonprofit executives, artists, board members, and volunteers to come together to learn and network with leaders of other arts organizations in Nebraska.

Selection Criteria: Our participants have requested sessions that are interactive, inspiring, informative, and memorable. If you can craft a session that will actively engage participants, deliver a solid message about a key issue facing the sector, and send attendees away with several identifiable lessons learned, we invite you to submit your proposal!

Submissions will be chosen based on the following criteria:

Promotional Policy: Conference workshops and breakout sessions are learning experiences and, as such, are non-commercial. Although presenters are welcome to provide contact information and distribute brochures about their organization or to mention an offering as an incidental part of a larger presentation, under no circumstances should a session be used as a forum for direct promotion of a speaker’s products or services or for monetary self-interest.

Public Information: All presentations and handouts will be distributed in a PDF or similar format and available to all attendees, unless otherwise discussed.

Details: Proposals should be submitted no later than May 1, 2024.
