Dylan Jacobson
As a comic artist, Dylan has created two successful web comics, and a print series which is available at select locations around the country. He is also a published writer who uses his experience in the classroom to instill a strong sense of visual storytelling. He incorporates lessons in story structure, theme, character creation, and principles of comic art.. His residency activities often begin with having students write short stories. Afterward, Dylan guides them through exploration of visual character creation using shapes, line, and form. Ultimately, students create either their own individual comics or mini-books.
