George Shepard (New to 2024)
George’s residencies focus on collaborative storytelling through the aggregation of game design, character development, writing, improvisation, and storytelling for teens and adults through the medium of Tabletop Roleplaying Games (TTRPGs). He has been a part of the tabletop community for over twenty years, collaborating with groups of two to twelve individuals to craft stories using both planned plotlines & improvisation through various TTRPGs (Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Kids on Bikes, Roll for Shoes, etc.). The lesson plan begins by outlining the code of conduct which establishes expectations and boundaries to ensure the comfort and inclusion for all participants. George works with participants to explore characterization after an introduction to the story’s setting. This is followed by dynamic improvisational group storytelling within the established setting to craft a unique experience. George’s residencies are suitable for ages 12 and older.
