Artists in Schools and Communities (AiS/C)

Josephine Langbehn loves to work with all ages, from kindergartners to older adults. Her central focus is creating art that explores personal identity and self-expression. She is eager to collaborate with community partners to create projects that best fit the needs of students, giving them the opportunity to use their voices and express their identities. Most of Josephine’s personal artwork explores the stories of individuals, investigates common experiences, or honors someone from the past. She brings this into the classroom by creating a safe space for students to explore and express ideas. Being a Nebraska certified K-12 art educator and having years of classroom experience gives her the ability to work with students and is versatile in multiple mediums; her favorite being drawing, painting, and printmaking.
