Nebraska AEDP Focus Group

We invite you to participate in a focus group exploring Nebraska’s Arts Education Data Project (AEDP).  

Focus Group spaces are limited; sign up early and we will notify you by May 29 if your spot is confirmed and for which date/location.

The Nebraska Department of Education and Nebraska Arts Council are seeking individuals willing to delve into Nebraska’s AEDP and help identify key uses for the site. Focus group meetings will be facilitated by Cody Talarico (NDE) and Anne Alston (NAC). Nebraska’s AEDP provides access to more comprehensive data about K-12 arts education course offerings throughout Nebraska than ever before. We are seeking feedback about how people interact with it.

• We’ll examine what the point of entry is for teachers, school administrators, non-profit administrators, and community members.
• Focus group participants will help to identify ways that different stakeholders interact with AEDP.

Participant Expectations:

• Prior to the meeting – Individually review Nebraska’s AEDP user guide and explore the dashboards for approximately one hour before we meet. Guiding questions and search exercises will be provided. Take notes and submit them a week ahead of their meeting date.
• Participate in a two-hour meeting (choice of joining in-person or on Zoom).

Group A: Wednesday, June 11 from 1:30pm-3:30pm CDT (preliminary notes due by June 4)

Location – Nebraska Arts Council conference room, 1004 Farnam Street, Plaza Level, Omaha NE 68102

Group B: Wednesday, June 18 from 9:00am- 11:00am CDT (preliminary notes due by June 11)

Location- Nebraska Department of Education, 500 S. 84^th Street, Room #204, Lincoln, NE 68510
